McCarthy's is a Irish Pub located in downtown Lexington, KY. It is unique lay-out of three separate rooms with their own music selection and has a nice private patio in the back. There is never a cover charge. So drink up!

Sean wrote on Dec 5 at 10:15 pmMeh, I'm unimpressed. The bar itself is very cool, with a great atmosphere, great patio, and the like. The downer is the crowd. On weekends, it gets so crowded that it is nearly impossible to get back to your seat with your drink intact (if you managed steal a chair from somebody, that is), and you run the risk of being assaulted by a roided out 19 year old who has had one too many Jager bombs. Try it on a week night, when you can enjoy the experience.

John wrote on Nov 11 at 11:31 amOverall I really like McCarthy's. It is what you would imagine a pub to be. It has . . . I think 3 bars if you count the spider's well. It has cool Irish stuff all over the bar. Plays alot of U2 and Irish Car Bombs are pretty much a necessity. It can get a little packed, with popped collars and name brands on the weekends, but overall it is a pretty good time.
